Teachers in the San Francisco Unified School District had their stipend checks bounce, causing difficulties for some of the city's most-credentialed teachers.
The district sent off-cycle checks to instructors who hadn't received their stipend in October, and 16 teachers reported bounced checks.
The district claims to be working on honoring the checks and ensuring employees receive the money they are owed. [ more ]
